This role sets the legal footing for our expansion. It keeps us in compliance and protects the organization from serious risks as we grow into new cities.
What you’ll do
- Review and help refine our bylaws and governance documents.
- Make sure our mission is reflected in our governing documents.
- Advise on how to structure chapters in other cities, and the tradeoffs involved.
- Flag compliance, liability, and risk considerations before they become problems.
You might be a good fit if…
- A licensed attorney, ideally with nonprofit, corporate, or governance experience.
- Familiar with 501(c)(3) requirements and multi-entity structures.
- Willing to work pro bono in service of the mission.
